Thriving Bootcamper #9: MIchelle Weber!!

Introducing....Michelle Weber!

1.     How long have you been a Forever Fitter? Over 4 years!

2.     What do you like most about Forever Fit? Where do I begin?  A few of my favorite things about Forever Fit are that workouts are never the same which keeps it interesting, whether it is a body weight beach workout or she pulls out all the cool equipment that I don’t have at home.  I also love that Deanne creates workouts that challenge folks at all levels of fitness because she designs them in such a way that you are always pushing yourself at your pace.  The more fit you become, you can always work harder by doing more sets of an exercise, using heavier weights or more reps.  And, the best part of Forever Fit. . . DEANNE!  She is so approachable and down to earth, but is a committed, tough, get-results trainer.

3.     Do you have a nickname? If yes, what is it?  Nope, never have. L

4.     Where did you grow up?  La Mirada which is about 25 minutes from Disneyland.  So Cal girl my whole life.

5.     If you went to college, what school?  UCSD

6.     What is (or was) your profession?  Clinical Research Associate – We help pharmaceutical companies conduct their clinical trials for medications to treat many different conditions.  I’m currently working on an epilepsy study.

7.     Do you have kids?  If so, how many and what are the genders and ages?  I am the proud mama of two great boys, Camden who is 10 and Donovan who is 7.

8.     What hobbies or skills do you have (serious or funny)?  Running, eating.  Right now, unfortunately, I’m doing more of the latter than the former.  I also love spending time with friends and am always up to go dancing!!

9.     When it comes to your workout philosophy and demeanor, what animal would you compare yourself to and why?  A horse.  Hardworking, loyal, sometimes stubborn.

10.                        What’s your biggest vice in life?  Sweets!

11.                        Would you rather: (choose one answer by each letter)

a.     Do 100 burpees or 20 sets of Torrey Hills Stairs?
b.     Workout outside when it’s 90 degrees and sunny or 50 degrees and raining?
c.      Do a ropes workout or a Kettlebell workout?
d.     Crawl through the sand or crawl through wet grass?
e.     Listen to pop, classic rock, alternative or country while working out?  Pop and hip hop but I really can be all over the place.  Depends on my mood.

12.                         Tell us one thing most people don’t know about you.  I taught high school science for 3 years.

13.                        If you had a theme song in life, what would it be?  Oh man, that is tough.  I’ve been looking at my music collection and listening to a lot of things that I haven’t heard in a while, so thanks for that fun.  How about Dancing Queen by ABBA, I Gotta Feeling by Black Eyed Peas, Let’s Groove by Earth, Wind & Fire and Carry On by Fun, My Big Mouth by John Mayer.  Not sure if these are my theme songs, but some that describe me a bit.

14.                         Do you have any specific goals for the next 10 weeks?   Really to just make one healthy choice everyday by being active more regularly and making better food choices.

15.                        Do you have any specific goals for the next 10 years?  Same as my 10 week goal so I can keep up with my growing boys and have wonderful travel adventures at least once a year, near or far.
