Heading into week 3

Hi ladies. Well it's unanimous. OK, almost. Keely took a little convincing. We will be working out Monday regardless of the weather. Let's meet at Torrey Highlands Park again. If it's raining, we'll be taking off for a running tour of carmel valley. If it's not raining, we'll be heading over the to soggy grass for a band and cardio workout. Warning: you could get wet, grassy and muddy.

I'm working on your 3rd week of menus right now. Is it considered child labor to have my 7 year old daughter putting packets together for 2 hours?

  1. Only if you pay her. If no pay...it is teaching her to serve to her mother. That'd be my philosophy.

  2. Deanne - are the measurements correct for the chili for tonight? It says 3 tsp of chili powder and cumin. I am trying to get ahead of the game and get dinner fixed early tonight. Thanks for the workout today - sorry I was such a poop out - I was bummed because it was a really good one! I loved the abs ones - they were killing me!

  3. Yeah, but you can add a little more spices if you want. Do it to taste.

I thought you did well today. I'm sorry you weren't feeling great.

  4. Ladies - I had the most delicious snack a moment ago - I thought the Greek Yogurt Parfait tasted like a Pinkberry frozen yogurt. I had about decided that going without sugar was causing my tastebuds to change because it tasted so GOOD! BEWARE of the brand of Greek yogurt you buy - mine was in fact DELICIOUS - but it had 170 calories and 50 of those were from fat - it also had 23 grams of sugar - NO WONDER I thought it was so yummy! It said "reduced fat" on the container even - I did not bother reading the calorie and fat and sugar count before I bought it. It is called Greek God Greek yogurt and I bought it at either Jimbo's or Henry's Mkt. (I think Henry's Mkt) Buyer beware - too bad that we have the snack 2 more times and I already have the yogurt for it - the yummy not so healthy version - OOPS! Learn from my mistake. In the meantime, I will just have to eat it - DARN!

  5. Hey guys I was trying to figure out what to do with my extra pumpkin from last week. I put it in my kids pancake mix with a 1/2 t. pumpkin spice and 1/2 t. vanilla this morning and they loved them!
