  1. I really wanted to upload a photo in reference to this Holiday Challenge. The photo is of a BIG PILE of dirty clothes. All very colorful with lots of stripes! I have realized that my workout clothes have gone from maybe 30% of my washing load to about 90%!! I'm thinking that is telling me something. Thanks Deanne!!!

  2. What I liked best about the Holiday Challenge...hmmm, walking up at the crack of dawn to meet the other Tues./Thurs. bootcampers all bundled up in warm clothes for a run...in the DARK because the lights went off at 6am - and being freezing when I started running, then working up a sweat within minutes and feeling GREAT by the time the sun finally came up! I used to hate getting up to workout, now I actually look forward to it and feel like I've accomplished a lot by 7am! Thanks Deanne!! Jenny Mendoza :)

  3. I'm with you Jenny there is something about waking up to darkness and the cold and conquering a workout in the dark that feels like a great accomplishment to the start of my day! I really liked working on a team because I had people counting on me so I was motivated to stay on track. This was a great challenge especially during a crazy time of year. You rock Deanne! :)

  4. My favorite thing about the Holiday Challenge has been the banter and comaraderie, at workouts and on the blog. It is really fun to hea/read what other people find challenging or easy, and what helped them get through a particular challenge. And, it is especially fun to push myself, further than I would on my own, because there are people cheering me on.

  5. My favorite part was getting the points tally from Deanne and being inspired by y'all. Especially all those SPICE GIRLS!!

  6. My favorite part of the Holiday Challenge was seeing how far I could push myself. I also loved my team!

  7. My favorite thing about this challenge is accountability. I will do a lot to see how far i can push myself, but found myself accountable to hold my weight on the team.

I also liked seeing how much more energy around the challenge this year. It was fun to see most everyone rally for their teams. A win-win....the team wins & we as individuals win.

Deanne, thanks for the gift of providing a platform to achieve a healthy lifestyle for us all!

  8. What I love about the Holiday Challenge: I love working out at the beach in December with deanne's perfect holiday music mix. The weather was perfect and the workouts were the hardest ever. Amazing and beautiful all at once!

  10. My favorite party of this Holiday challenge was the team work. Knowing that my choices would impact the rest of the team really made me work harder than I would have. This was a great challenge. Thanks Deanne! Seconding what Amber said I loved the new music as well.

  12. My favorite part of the Holiday challenge was the 10 minute "extra points" workouts! I think running extra laps, stairs and hills really pushed me over the edge - and that edge was 3 more pounds down! Who loses weight during the holidays? Forever Fitters do!

  13. I have lots of favorite parts from the Holiday Challenge but I'd say my top 3 are the sense of companionship where I never felt like I was in this alone, the sense of accomplishment, even though I am not the strongest, i felt like I achieved something great and lastly the ability to workout on the beach or in a park where it is so beautiful reminds me how lucky I am to be a part of life! Thank you Deanne and fellow bootcampers!

  14. I loved having the peer pressure to motivate me to stay focused. Normally I would have been eating my way through December with holiday goodies, party food, cookies, etc. I didn't want to let my teammates down. As a result, I've noticed my stamina increase. While I never will like running hills, at least I feel like I can push my way up them. Thanks Deanne and thanks team!

  15. I have liked that the challenges were doable but required focus and determination. I liked being accountable to someone. It made me more likely to follow through. The bonus points at bootcamps pushed me the most. I would never run the extra minutes without them. Thanks, Deanne!

  16. I have loved the awareness that participating in a challenge brings. My husband was shocked when he read a yahoo article that said a cup of eggnog was more than 300 calories. Without accountability we eat cookies, fudge, candies and drink eggnog and don't give it another thought. Thank you Deanne for all you do to help an encourage each of us.
